Janitor C

East Lake Management is hiring a Janitor C to join our maintenance team at our Smith Park, Chicago facility. In this full-time role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our property clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who uses it.

Role Overview

As a Janitor C at East Lake Management, you'll be responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of our Smith Park location. From building interiors to exterior grounds, you'll ensure every area meets high standards for cleanliness and upkeep. This is a full-time position where your work directly supports our facility operations and contributes to a positive environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitation of building interiors, hallways, common areas, and restrooms
• Maintain building exteriors including sidewalks, entryways, windows, and exterior surfaces
• Execute grounds and landscaping maintenance to keep outdoor spaces clean, organized, and accessible
• Operate and maintain a variety of cleaning equipment and tools in accordance with safety protocols
• Manage janitorial supplies and equipment inventory responsibly
• Respond to maintenance needs and facility requests in a timely manner

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED certification; relevant work experience in related fields may substitute for formal education
• Prior experience in building maintenance, janitorial services, landscaping, forestry, or a closely related field
• Working knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, tools, and industry practices
• Physical ability to perform cleaning, grounds maintenance, and lifting tasks throughout your shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining professional standards
• Reliable attendance and a collaborative approach to teamwork
