Sr. Community Manager

Kushner seeks a Senior Community Manager for full-time, on-site work in Slidell, Saint Tammany Parish. You'll direct day-to-day operations across two properties, leading the lease-up process and driving resident satisfaction to maximize occupancy and revenue growth.

Position Summary

As a Senior Community Manager at Kushner, you'll oversee dual properties from opening through stabilization and beyond. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic lease-up management—you'll guide new properties from initial market entry through peak occupancy, setting the foundation for long-term financial performance.

Your Responsibilities

• Direct all day-to-day property operations across two communities
• Lead lease-up initiatives from property launch, developing marketing and leasing strategies that meet occupancy targets
• Manage the resident acquisition and lease execution process, reviewing applications and closing deals
• Cultivate resident relationships and drive community engagement through programming and responsive management
• Oversee maintenance coordination and vendor management to ensure property standards and tenant satisfaction
• Monitor budgets, track key performance metrics, and report financial results to leadership
• Ensure compliance with fair housing, lease agreements, and all applicable regulations
• Build and mentor an onsite team to deliver consistent service and community experience

Who We're Looking For

• Proven track record in property management with a minimum of 5+ years in multi-family or commercial operations
• Direct experience leading lease-up efforts for new or repositioned properties
• Demonstrated success driving occupancy rates and maximizing rental revenue
• Strong knowledge of leasing practices, fair housing law, and property operations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with residents and vendors
• Analytical mindset with ability to manage financials, budgets, and performance metrics
• Leadership capability to supervise and develop an onsite management team
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with property management software
