Traveling Superintendent

Gpac is hiring a Traveling Superintendent in Fort Wayne, Allen County, to oversee construction operations for multiple general contracting partners. This full-time, on-site leadership role offers extensive autonomy, direct stakeholder engagement, and the opportunity to drive project outcomes from the field.

About the Role

As a Traveling Superintendent with Gpac, you'll be the field leader for active construction projects managed by established general contractors throughout the region. You'll direct daily operations, guide field teams, and maintain direct relationships with clients and partners. This position demands strong decision-making, hands-on oversight, and the flexibility to work across multiple project environments.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and coordinate construction crews and trades on active job sites
• Manage project schedules, progress tracking, and daily workflow optimization
• Enforce safety protocols and quality control standards across all work
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors and clients
• Track project budgets and ensure resource efficiency
• Resolve field challenges and make operational decisions to keep projects on schedule
• Travel as needed to assigned construction projects in the Fort Wayne area

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience as a Superintendent or senior field leadership position in construction
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage construction teams effectively
• Solid understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and project management
• Strong communication and client-facing interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to varying site conditions, weather, and project types
• Valid driver's license with willingness to travel throughout the service territory
• High school diploma or GED (industry-specific certifications welcome)
