About the Role
Geisinger is actively recruiting a full-time inpatient LPN to join our Advanced Acute Care Surgery department. This position offers competitive compensation, including a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, market-leading hiring rates, and educational advancement opportunities. We also provide up to $40,000 in financial support for LPNs pursuing RN certification, plus shift differentials of up to $5 per hour for evening, night, and weekend assignments.
What You'll Do
- Contribute clinical data and observations to patient assessments and care planning
- Implement evidence-based nursing interventions under physician and RN direction
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, recovery progress, and post-operative responses
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care delivery as needed
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity surgical unit setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout acute care episodes
What We're Looking For
- Current, valid Pennsylvania LPN license in good standing
- Experience in advanced acute care, surgical, or critical care nursing environments (preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work varying shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Patient-centered mindset with commitment to quality outcomes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare setting
