Sanford Health is recruiting a dedicated Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a part-time, PRN position at our Bemidji Main Clinic, serving Gully and Polk County in Minnesota. About the Role
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Sanford Health, you'll perform a wide variety of ultrasound examinations using advanced imaging technology. Your clinical expertise and attention to detail will help identify medical conditions, support treatment planning, and improve outcomes for patients across our service area.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures clearly, and address patient questions and concerns
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of ultrasound findings and clinical observations
- Operate and maintain diagnostic ultrasound equipment according to established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure diagnostic quality and patient safety
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and healthcare compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment and imaging software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Commitment to patient care excellence and continuous professional development
