About the Role
As a Surgical Technologist with our Family Birth Center, you'll provide essential support during surgical and procedural deliveries, working alongside obstetricians, nurses, and surgical teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes. This part-time role features straight weekend scheduling with 24 hours per week, allowing you to balance your career with personal priorities.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with sterile technique protocols
- Maintain a sterile field during obstetric procedures, preventing contamination and ensuring patient safety
- Monitor and manage surgical equipment, responding promptly to any technical issues
- Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and passing instruments and materials efficiently
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records as required
- Communicate effectively with team members in fast-paced clinical environments
What We're Looking For
- Current certification or licensure as a Surgical Technologist (or equivalent state requirement)
- Experience working in surgical or procedural settings
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and surgical safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Reliability and flexibility within a weekend-focused schedule
