Sanford Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to join our Family Birth Center in Fargo, North Dakota, where you'll play a vital role in supporting safe, compassionate surgical and obstetric care for families in our community.
About the Role
This part-time Surgical Technologist position at our Fargo Medical Center offers flexible scheduling with 24 hours of work per week on rotating 8-hour shifts. You'll be part of a specialized team dedicated to clinical excellence in the Family Birth Center, supporting both routine and complex surgical procedures.
What You'll Do
- Prepare surgical and delivery suites, ensuring clean, organized environments ready for procedures
- Sterilize and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to protocol
- Pass instruments and provide direct surgical support to physicians and clinical teams during procedures
- Maintain sterile field integrity and follow aseptic technique standards throughout cases
- Handle and process specimens and surgical materials per facility guidelines
- Monitor surgical equipment functionality and communicate any maintenance concerns
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort during all phases of surgical care
What We're Looking For
- Surgical Technologist certification or associate degree in surgical technology
- Demonstrated proficiency with surgical instruments, techniques, and sterilization practices
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and safely handle equipment
- Strong attention to detail with unwavering commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in clinical teams
