About the Role
As a Tax Manager focused on Property Tax within our Indirect Tax function, you'll oversee a mission-critical practice serving mid-market and enterprise clients. You'll balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight, ensuring timely compliance while identifying innovative tax solutions that create measurable value for your clients across all jurisdictions where they operate.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end property tax compliance activities, including return preparation and filing across federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions
- Lead comprehensive property tax engagements, developing tailored strategies for valuation challenges, exemptions, planning, and appeals
- Perform detailed property tax research and analysis on regulatory changes, case law, and planning opportunities
- Direct and mentor junior team members, building technical competency and professional growth within your group
- Partner with clients, EY practice leaders, and internal departments to deliver integrated tax solutions
- Monitor emerging property tax regulations and industry trends to keep our practice current and competitive
What We're Looking For
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent professional tax qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in property tax compliance, consulting, or advisory services
- Expert-level knowledge of property tax law, valuation methodologies, and multi-jurisdiction tax requirements
- Demonstrated success building client relationships and managing complex engagements
- Exceptional research, analytical, and documentation skills
- Strong communication and team leadership abilities
