This full-time, 12-month position provides essential classroom support to our Community Education program, working directly with young learners in early childhood settings.

Position Summary

As a Childcare Associate II for Paradise Valley USD 69's Mascot Club, you'll serve as a vital member of our Community Education classroom teams across multiple Phoenix-area sites. This Grade 19, full-time role runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with work hours spanning 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily—6.5 hours total. At $18.51 per hour, this 12-month position offers year-round employment and schedule predictability.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and assistance to lead teachers within Community Education programs
• Supervise children's activities, ensuring safe and nurturing learning environments
• Support daily childcare operations, including transitions, routines, and developmental activities
• Maintain classroom organization and prepare materials for instructional and play-based learning
• Foster positive relationships with students and communicate progress updates to teachers and families
• Contribute to a structured, supportive atmosphere that encourages children's growth and engagement

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience working with children in educational, childcare, or community settings, or strong willingness to develop childcare competencies
• Reliable transportation and demonstrated punctuality for early morning and afternoon shifts across multiple locations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within classroom structures
• Clearance for background screening as required by district policy
