Philanthropic Grant Writer

Parkland Health and Hospital System is hiring a Philanthropic Grant Writer to develop and manage proposals supporting the organization's mission in Village, Dallas. This full-time position is located at Mockingbird Towers, 11th Floor, and offers an opportunity to advance healthcare through strategic philanthropy.

About the Role

As a Philanthropic Grant Writer for Parkland Health and Hospital System, you'll play a vital role in securing funding to support the system's healthcare initiatives. You'll research, develop, and manage grant proposals aligned with organizational priorities while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external funders. The role includes developing and maintaining proposal templates and case statements to support ongoing fundraising efforts.

What You'll Do

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with organizational funding priorities
• Develop compelling, persuasive grant proposals and applications ready for submission
• Manage grant timelines, track submissions, and monitor funding decisions from start to completion
• Collaborate with departmental leadership, program staff, and development teams to gather information and refine proposals
• Update and maintain proposal templates and case statements for consistent, effective fundraising messaging
• Track and report on grant outcomes and funding impact to internal stakeholders
• Ensure all proposals adhere to funder guidelines and compliance requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in health, business, marketing, social services, or a related field
• Proven grant writing experience and strong research and writing capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Experience in fundraising, nonprofit operations, or healthcare preferred
