Koch Foods is hiring a Complex Safety Manager to lead occupational health, safety, and regulatory compliance at our Whitesburg facility in Hamblen County. In this full-time role, you'll oversee comprehensive safety operations and ensure our team works in a secure, compliant environment.

About the Role

As Complex Safety Manager at our Whitesburg, Hamblen County facility, you'll direct all aspects of our workplace health and safety program. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on safety management in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You'll report directly to plant leadership and collaborate across departments to build a strong safety culture throughout our operation.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive occupational safety and health programs
• Identify, assess, and eliminate workplace hazards that could cause injuries, illness, or property damage
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, federal safety standards, and state requirements
• Oversee workers' compensation and occupational health management activities
• Maintain and audit critical safety documentation, including OSHA logs, insurance certificates, and training records
• Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic safety goals and continuous improvement initiatives
• Track safety metrics and report performance data to senior management

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing occupational safety programs, preferably in poultry processing, food manufacturing, or similar industrial environments
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Background managing workers' compensation and occupational health programs
• Proven ability to develop clear, actionable safety protocols and communicate them effectively across all organizational levels
• Meticulous documentation and record-keeping skills
• Leadership experience and the ability to influence workplace culture
• Problem-solving mindset focused on hazard prevention and loss control
