Plant Manager

Novolex is hiring a Plant Manager for our Downingtown, Chester County facility. This is a full-time leadership position overseeing daily manufacturing operations, team performance, and production excellence across one of our advanced packaging plants.

About the Role

As Plant Manager, you'll lead a complete manufacturing operation producing high-quality food, beverage, and specialty packaging. You'll report directly to senior leadership and own the strategic and operational health of the plant, from production scheduling and safety protocols to continuous improvement initiatives and budget management. This role demands a results-driven leader who can balance production targets, quality standards, and a strong safety culture.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all plant operations including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Direct plant personnel, manage performance reviews, and drive employee development and safety training
• Monitor product quality, implement corrective actions, and maintain compliance with customer specifications
• Drive continuous improvement programs to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity
• Manage plant budgets, capital expenditures, and financial performance metrics
• Maintain regulatory compliance, environmental standards, and workplace safety protocols
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and sales teams to meet customer demands

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of manufacturing operations experience, including 3+ years in a plant management or operations director role
• Deep knowledge of food-grade and specialty packaging production processes
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop plant leadership talent
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis skills
• Commitment to safety-first culture and regulatory compliance
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
