Wayne County Schools Employment Network is seeking a dedicated full-time GSRP Aide at American Montessori Academy in Livonia/Westland, Michigan. Join our team to support student growth and success in Michigan's Great Start Readiness Program.
About the Role
You'll serve as a classroom aide in our preschool program, working directly with four-year-old students in the Great Start Readiness Program. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a critical period of child development while collaborating with experienced educators in a supportive school environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and learning experiences
- Provide direct student supervision and support throughout the school day
- Help facilitate smooth transitions between classroom activities and routines
- Prepare and organize instructional materials and classroom spaces
- Support classroom management and positive student behavior
- Foster welcoming relationships with students and families
- Contribute to a respectful, equitable classroom community
What We're Looking For
- Dedication to supporting young learners and early childhood development
- Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Patience, flexibility, and commitment to student-centered learning
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience with young children preferred
