About the Role
The Gasparilla Inn seeks a dedicated Turf Technician to join our grounds and maintenance team. In this full-time position, you'll be responsible for the daily upkeep, maintenance, and enhancement of our resort's turf areas, including our golf course and landscaped grounds. This role offers the opportunity to work in a refined resort environment where attention to detail and professional pride directly contribute to our guests' experience.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine turf maintenance including mowing, edging, and trimming
- Apply fertilizers and treatments using proper safety protocols and personal protective equipment
- Monitor turf health and identify issues such as disease, pests, or drainage problems
- Operate and maintain turf care equipment and machinery
- Collaborate with the grounds team to coordinate maintenance schedules
- Support golf course operations and uphold course standards and etiquette protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Learn and adapt to new techniques and responsibilities as assigned
