General Service Technician Level 1

Commercial Tire Inc is hiring a General Service Technician Level 1 to work at its Caldwell, Canyon County facility. This full‑time role supports the tire and wheel service team by performing routine maintenance tasks and assisting senior technicians.

About the Role

The General Service Technician Level 1 handles basic tire service duties, helps keep the shop organized, and learns advanced procedures under supervision. The position is ideal for someone eager to develop hands‑on expertise in a commercial tire environment.

What You'll Do

• Mount, demount, and balance tires on light‑ and medium‑duty vehicles
• Perform visual inspections of tires, wheels, and related components for wear or damage
• Maintain proper air pressure and torque lug nuts to manufacturer specifications
• Keep the service bay clean, organize tools, and replenish shop supplies
• Assist with tire repairs, patching, and valve stem replacements as directed
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment
• Document completed work on service tickets and communicate findings to the lead technician
• Participate in ongoing training to expand technical knowledge

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of automotive tire and wheel systems (training provided)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime
