What You'll Do

  • Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in patient status with clinical judgment
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and perform wound care under established nursing protocols
  • Interpret telemetry readings and alert providers to significant arrhythmias or changes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers—to coordinate patient care
  • Document nursing interventions and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families, explaining care plans and addressing concerns with compassion
  • Support specialty focuses including renal and infectious disease nursing when assigned to those units

What We're Looking For

  • Current New York State RN licensure (or eligible to obtain within the hiring timeline)
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
  • Strong clinical fundamentals and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity environment and manage multiple patients
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow under supervision of preceptor nurses
  • Current BLS certification (CPR) or ability to obtain promptly
