About the Role

As US Director, Payor & Access Strategy Lead for Medical Affairs and Health Systems, you'll direct Field Medical strategy and drive Value & Implementation plan prioritization across Merck's health systems accounts. You'll guide cross-functional US Medical Affairs teams in translating clinical science into actionable access strategies that address both payer needs and health system operations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute Field Medical strategy for health systems and payer accounts
• Lead training initiatives that equip teams with payer engagement and access strategy expertise
• Prioritize and operationalize Value & Implementation strategies aligned with health systems priorities
• Drive collaboration across US Medical Affairs cross-functional teams
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with major hospital networks and payer organizations
• Analyze market dynamics to identify access barriers and develop data-driven solutions

What We're Looking For

• Director-level experience in medical affairs, market access, or health systems strategy
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams executing complex strategic initiatives
• Deep expertise in US healthcare payer landscapes and hospital system operations
• Strong executive communication skills with ability to influence at senior levels
• Experience designing and delivering strategic training programs
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical value proposition development and market access
