Settlement Specialist

Cargill is seeking a Settlement Specialist for our Olathe, Kansas location in Johnson County. In this full-time role, you'll manage settlement operations that keep our global supply chain moving smoothly and ensure accurate, timely transactions with our partners and customers.

About the Role

Settlement operations are the backbone of reliable trade and supply chain partnerships. As a Settlement Specialist at Cargill, you'll own this critical function, processing transactions and coordinating with partners across our network to ensure every settlement is completed accurately and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Execute settlement processing workflows, verifying transaction accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Partner with cross-functional teams and external parties to investigate and resolve settlement exceptions and disputes
• Build and maintain comprehensive settlement records and supporting documentation required for audits and regulatory compliance
• Track settlement schedules and critical dates, flagging potential delays early to keep operations on track
• Review settlement data to spot patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities to streamline processes
• Prepare clear, timely settlement updates and reports for internal stakeholders and business partners
• Contribute to the refinement and documentation of settlement best practices and operational procedures

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent at minimum; college degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is a plus
• Prior experience in settlement, financial operations, accounts management, or a related role
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under deadline pressure
• Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and quick to pick up specialized software systems
• Strong organizational abilities and reliable time management
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative working style with the ability to engage cross-team and respect confidentiality
• Proactive problem solver who takes accountability for outcomes
