Alternative Investment Supervisor

U.S. Bank is hiring an Alternative Investment Supervisor in Edison, Middlesex County for a full-time position overseeing alternative investment portfolios, strategies, and compliance. About the Role

As Alternative Investment Supervisor at U.S. Bank, you will lead the oversight of alternative investment operations, ensuring portfolio performance, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with organizational objectives. This position combines hands-on management with strategic responsibility, requiring both deep investment expertise and strong leadership capabilities. You'll work directly with investment teams, senior management, and external partners to optimize alternative asset strategies and maintain the highest standards of fiduciary responsibility.

What You'll Do

• Supervise alternative investment portfolios and oversee day-to-day operations across hedge funds, private equity, commodities, or other alternative asset classes
• Monitor investment performance, conduct due diligence on new opportunities, and analyze portfolio metrics against benchmarks and risk thresholds
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance policies, and internal governance standards
• Lead and develop investment team members, providing guidance on strategy execution and performance management
• Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders on portfolio status, performance trends, and risk assessments
• Collaborate with risk management, compliance, and operations teams to maintain operational excellence

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in alternative investments, investment management, or a related financial services role
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage and mentor investment professionals
• Strong knowledge of alternative asset classes, investment strategies, and portfolio construction
• Deep understanding of SEC regulations, investment company compliance, and fiduciary standards
• Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and investment performance analysis
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across departments
• Series 7, Series 63, or CFA designation preferred; additional compliance certifications a plus
