U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Senior Corporate Counsel - Wealth Management - Personal Trust and Investments Attorney to join its legal team in Atlanta. About the Role
As a Senior Corporate Counsel focused on Personal Trust and Investments, you will serve as a key legal advisor within U.S. Bank's Wealth Management organization in Atlanta. The position centers on counseling business partners on the legal and regulatory dimensions of personal trust administration, fiduciary services, and investment activities, helping the company deliver smarter financial outcomes for the customers and communities it serves.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise Wealth Management teams on legal matters tied to personal trust administration and investment products and services.
- Interpret applicable laws and regulations governing fiduciary and trust relationships, translating complex requirements into practical guidance.
- Partner with business leaders and other internal stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and manage legal risk.
- Review and support documentation, agreements, and processes related to trust and investment activities.
- Help safeguard the bank's interests while supporting its commitment to responsible, client-focused service.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in good standing with a state bar.
- Demonstrated legal experience in personal trust, fiduciary law, wealth management, or investments.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to advise senior business partners.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and exercise sound, independent judgment.
- Availability to work on-site in Atlanta (this role is not remote).
