About the Role

As a General Liability Adjuster, you'll manage the complete claims process—from initial assignment through final resolution. You'll gather evidence, assess liability, interview relevant parties, and make fair determinations that balance the interests of all involved. Your judgment and professionalism directly impact how quickly and equitably claims get resolved.

What You'll Do

• Investigate general liability claims by collecting and reviewing policy documents, medical records, incident reports, and supporting evidence
• Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, insureds, and other parties to establish facts and determine liability
• Evaluate coverage eligibility and policy exclusions under applicable insurance terms
• Assess damages, causation, and liability exposure using industry standards and claim handling practices
• Prepare comprehensive claim files and written reports documenting investigation findings and recommendations
• Communicate decisions and claim status clearly and professionally to claimants, insureds, and legal representatives
• Negotiate settlements and work with defense counsel on contested or litigated claims
• Ensure all claim handling complies with company standards, state regulations, and legal requirements

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or prior claims experience is preferred
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities with sound judgment in complex situations
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Professional approach to working with diverse claimants and stakeholders
• Proficiency with computer systems and claims management software
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel for claim investigations
• Willingness to pursue your General Liability claims adjuster license or certification
