About the Role
As a Class A CDL Company Driver with U.S. Xpress - OTR, you'll operate a dry van truck on dedicated OTR routes. We serve drivers at all experience levels, from those new to the industry to seasoned professionals.
What You'll Do
- Transport dry freight on long-haul routes
- Maintain vehicle safety and compliance with federal DOT regulations
- Operate your assigned Class A commercial vehicle with professionalism and care
- Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams for efficient delivery schedules
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- 1–5 months of recent commercial driving experience
- Commitment to vehicle maintenance and safety standards
- Reliability and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently on extended routes
Compensation
U.S. Xpress - OTR offers competitive pay structured around your experience and driving arrangement. Solo drivers average 2,000 miles per week with starting pay of 57–64 cents per mile and a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Team drivers can average 5,000 miles weekly with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Top performers in our fleet earn $1,600 weekly.
