About the Role
This is a full-time lease driver opportunity with TransAm Trucking, one of the nation's leading refrigerated freight carriers. As a CDL-A lease driver, you operate on a regional basis with competitive compensation and the independence of contractor status. You'll haul temperature-controlled freight on consistent routes, partnering directly with a company known for strong driver support and year-round work.
What You'll Do
- Operate a refrigerated (reefer) trailer on regional routes requiring a valid CDL-A license
- Maintain safe driving practices and comply with DOT regulations and company standards
- Manage pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch and shippers to ensure on-time deliveries
- Build and maintain a professional reputation as an independent contractor
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience required
- Experience or demonstrated willingness to specialize in reefer (refrigerated) freight
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliability, safety-first mindset, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
