Advanced Provider – Emergency Medicine – UMC East Emergency Department

Vituity is hiring an Advanced Provider specializing in Emergency Medicine for the UMC East Emergency Department in Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo, El Paso County. This part-time position offers the opportunity to deliver critical emergency care as a valued member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team committed to patient outcomes and clinical excellence.

About the Role

As an Advanced Provider in our Emergency Department, you'll assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions. Working alongside emergency physicians, nurses, and support staff, you'll manage the full spectrum of emergency care—from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies. This role emphasizes collaboration, rapid decision-making, and evidence-based practice in a fast-paced clinical environment.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients across all acuity levels and perform focused physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing including labs, imaging, and ECGs
• Initiate treatment protocols and manage emergency procedures within scope of practice
• Coordinate patient disposition and facilitate safe transitions of care
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the broader care team
• Document clinical encounters accurately and timely
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement

What We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
• Active DEA registration
• Experience or demonstrated commitment to emergency medicine practice
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage high patient volume and complexity with composure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional development
