About the Role
This is a full-time, solo W2 Company Driver position running regional car carrier routes out of the Nashville, Davidson County area. As a high rail car hauling specialist, you will move vehicles safely and on schedule while enjoying a regional footprint that, depending on where you live, can bring you home during the week. Pay is structured on a floating scale beginning at 0.25% of each load, so your earnings climb as the truck produces more — the more miles you run, the more you take home.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high rail car carrier trailers and transport vehicles across assigned regional lanes
- Load, secure, and unload automobiles following proper safety and handling procedures
- Complete regional runs averaging roughly 2,000 to 3,000 miles per week
- Maintain DOT compliance, accurate logs, and timely communication on each route
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs to keep loads moving
Qualifications
- Valid Class A (CDL A) commercial driver's license
- Verifiable experience operating high rail trailers (required)
- Background in car hauling or auto transport preferred
- Clean and safe driving record with a commitment to securing loads correctly
- Reliability and the willingness to run consistent regional miles
Compensation
- Total weekly average pay of approximately $1,500 to $2,200
- Floating pay scale starting at 0.25% of the load, with raises tied to truck performance
- $1,000 sign-on bonus
