As a Senior Control Room Operator with NorthStar Clean Energy, you will serve as a frontline guardian of safe, efficient, and continuous energy production. Working from our facility in Gaylord, Michigan, you will oversee real-time operations, monitor critical systems, and respond decisively to keep generation and natural gas assets running at peak performance. This position suits an experienced operator who thrives in a high-responsibility setting and takes pride in advancing a cleaner energy future.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise control room systems to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted energy production.
• Continuously monitor equipment, instrumentation, and process indicators, taking corrective action as conditions require.
• Diagnose and respond to operational anomalies, alarms, and emergencies according to established procedures.
• Coordinate closely with field personnel, maintenance teams, and engineers to support smooth daily operations.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and shift reports to support transparency and regulatory compliance.
• Champion workplace safety and environmental standards across all activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a control room operator or in a comparable plant operations role.
• Strong working knowledge of energy generation and natural gas systems, instrumentation, and control processes.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work shift rotations on site in Gaylord, Otsego County (this is not a remote position).
