The Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA) is seeking an experienced Youth Volleyball Coach for a part-time position at Dulles Town Center in Loudoun County. About the Role
As a part-time Youth Volleyball Coach with NVVA, you'll lead volleyball training sessions that inspire growth, build confidence, and develop fundamental skills in young players. This position combines coaching expertise with an athlete-first philosophy, allowing you to shape the next generation of volleyball players while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a genuine love for the game.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate volleyball instruction and drills to youth athletes
- Develop training progressions that build technique, court awareness, and game strategy
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to athletes of varying skill levels
- Create a positive, inclusive training environment that prioritizes safety and athletic development
- Communicate progress and observations with parents and program coordinators
- Model professional conduct and a commitment to youth athletic excellence
What We're Looking For
- Prior coaching experience in volleyball, sports, or youth athletic instruction
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Ability to motivate and engage young athletes across different skill levels
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to athlete development
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
- Flexible availability for part-time coaching sessions
