Join National Counseling Group as a Mental Health Professional in Chesapeake, Chesapeake City. We're seeking licensed or certified mental health professionals to deliver community-based behavioral health services across Virginia and create meaningful clinical impact for individuals and families in need.
About the Role
As a Mental Health Professional with National Counseling Group, you'll provide direct clinical services to clients in community settings throughout Virginia. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work with diverse populations while building therapeutic relationships that drive recovery and wellness.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based counseling and therapeutic interventions
- Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health episodes
- Coordinate client care and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the healthcare system
- Participate in team meetings and clinical consultations
What We're Looking For
- Active license or certification as a mental health professional (Licensed Counselor, QMHP-A/C, Resident in Counseling, or equivalent)
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to client-centered, trauma-informed behavioral health practice
- Professional reliability and accountability
- Experience in community-based mental health services is valued
