Werkstudent:in HR & KI Operations (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential HR technology organization seeking a Working Student for HR & AI Operations. In this role, you will be part of a shared services team supporting human resources, finance, and back-office functions. Your work will include:

• Supporting employee lifecycle processes including onboarding and offboarding to ensure smooth execution
• Managing contracts and documentation, digitizing files, organizing records, and maintaining clean filing systems
• Handling office operations including mail, orders, and administrative tasks
• Assisting with planning internal company events such as workshops and seasonal celebrations
• Contributing to automation initiatives and building AI-driven solutions for HR processes
• Working in a hybrid model with 1-2 days per week on-site in Köln, with flexibility during exam periods

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled university student with at least two semesters remaining
• Initial exposure to HR and office administration, such as supporting onboarding/offboarding, event planning, or general office workflows
• Active user of AI tools for academic work, personal projects, or organizational tasks; programming skills not required, but you should understand basic AI functionality and be enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment
• Organized and reliable work style with both structured and creative problem-solving abilities
• Proactive mindset—you ask questions when needed but take initiative on your own
• German language skills at C2 level required (approximately 90% of work is in German); conversational English for occasional meetings
• Must be based in or near Köln for on-site requirements
• Drive and motivation to learn, advance projects independently, and take ownership of tasks
