Salesforce is hiring a VP, Federal Government Affairs to lead its public-sector engagement strategy across the United States — a high-impact, full-time leadership role for a seasoned policy professional who thrives where technology, trust, and government intersect.
About the Role
As VP, Federal Government Affairs at Salesforce, you will shape and advance the company's policy presence within the U.S. federal landscape. Operating from the United States in an on-site, full-time capacity, you will serve as a senior voice connecting Salesforce's innovation agenda with the priorities of federal policymakers, agencies, and stakeholders. This position sits within the Global Affairs function and calls for a leader who can translate complex technology issues — including AI and CRM — into clear, principled policy engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Salesforce's federal government affairs strategy and represent the company before U.S. policymakers and agencies.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships across the federal government, industry coalitions, and relevant associations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, advising internal leaders on risks and opportunities.
- Champion policy positions that reflect Salesforce's commitment to trust, innovation, and responsible AI.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align public policy efforts with broader business objectives.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in federal government affairs, public policy, or related advocacy at a senior level.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. federal legislative and regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to influence and engage policymakers, stakeholders, and coalitions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic judgment in a fast-moving technology context.
- Comfort navigating issues at the intersection of technology, AI, and public policy.
About Salesforce
Salesforce is the number-one AI CRM, where people and intelligent agents work side by side to drive customer success. It is a place where ambition turns into action and where innovation is a daily practice rather than a slogan. Joining Salesforce means contributing to a culture built on trust, technology, and meaningful impact.
