About the Role

This full-time travel position places an experienced operating room registered nurse on the surgical team of a Bakersfield healthcare facility. The eight-week assignment begins on August 3, 2026, and follows a day-shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours weekly. As a Travel Nurse RN in the OR, you'll deliver hands-on perioperative care while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care across the perioperative continuum, including circulating and scrubbing duties as assigned
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies to support safe, efficient surgical procedures
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery and respond promptly to changing conditions
• Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary surgical team

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid for practice in California
• Demonstrated experience in OR / Operating Room nursing
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, three days per week, for the full eight-week duration
• Availability to begin the assignment on or around August 3, 2026
