The Opportunity
Join a healthcare facility in Pueblo County as a dedicated labor and delivery RN, where you'll provide compassionate patient care during one of life's most significant moments. This travel nursing role offers a finite commitment of 13 weeks with a stable night shift schedule of 36 hours per week, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while building your clinical experience in a new region.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to mothers during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor management and delivery procedures
- Educate patients and families about labor progression and comfort measures
- Document care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- Demonstrated experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system (required)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new healthcare environments
- Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice
