Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician orders and clinical protocols

• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and address concerns to ensure comfort and compliance
• Acquire diagnostic images and video loops for physician interpretation and medical decision-making
• Document findings, measurements, and observations in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with cardiologists, sonologists, and nursing staff in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of cardiac sonography or general ultrasound experience; first-time travel candidates with foundational training are welcome
• Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification or equivalent state licensure
• Active sonography credentials in good standing
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a collaborative care setting
• Willingness to adapt to new clinical workflows and facility-specific protocols
