Travel Nurse RN – ED – Emergency Department – $2,529 per week

Talent4Health is recruiting a full-time travel registered nurse for emergency department nursing in Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois. This 13-week night shift assignment offers $2,529 per week for an experienced emergency RN ready to make an immediate clinical impact.

Role Overview

Join an urgent care team as a travel nurse RN specializing in emergency department care. This is a fixed-term assignment beginning August 3, 2026, with night shift hours and a structured schedule designed for professionals seeking temporary placement opportunities. You'll work 36 hours per week across 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with scheduled on-call responsibilities integrated into your six-week rotation cycles.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor acutely ill and injured patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting
• Perform nursing procedures including triage, vital sign measurement, IV administration, and wound care
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes in electronic health records
• Respond to two on-call shifts per six-week scheduling period, providing surge capacity as needed
• Provide patient education and emotional support to individuals and families during crisis situations

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Illinois
• Minimum three (3) years of professional nursing experience, with emergency department experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-acuity environments
• Professional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to shift work and on-call requirements
