Role Overview

As a Certified Surgical Technologist with GHR Healthcare - Travel, you'll play a vital role in the operating room, ensuring surgical procedures run smoothly and safely. Working 36 hours weekly on day shifts (12-hour blocks), you'll partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams to maintain sterile environments, prepare instruments, and respond to evolving surgical needs. This travel position brings you to Tulsa County, where you'll extend your clinical expertise while gaining experience across diverse surgical disciplines and healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize operating room suites, ensuring all instruments and equipment meet sterilization and safety standards
  • Hand instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons and surgical teams during procedures with precision and anticipatory awareness
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile protocols and aseptic technique throughout surgical cases
  • Count instruments, sponges, needles, and specimens before, during, and after procedures to ensure complete accountability
  • Monitor the OR environment, patient safety, and team communication while remaining alert to changing procedural needs
  • Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records per facility protocol

What You Bring

  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or equivalent surgical technician certification
