About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential medical technology organization in Darmstadt seeking a Test Engineer specializing in imaging and X-ray systems. In this role, you will ensure and improve the quality of sophisticated medical imaging solutions by analyzing field issues, conducting software and system testing, and collaborating closely with development, customer service, and support teams to deliver sustainable solutions for complex technical problems.
Responsibilities
- Review and prioritize customer reports, analyzing field problems at system, software, and application levels
- Perform manual software, system, and functional testing according to specifications and identify potential quality risks through exploratory testing
- Plan and execute regression and verification tests, evaluating results against quality standards
- Create and track bug reports in Jira, verify fixes, and document analyses and test results
- Review product and user documentation, preparing technical analysis findings for development teams and management
- Coordinate technical questions between customer service, support, and product development while supporting internal stakeholders
- Onboard new team members and promote knowledge sharing within the team
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree or comparable technical qualification with advanced certification as a technician in computer science, medical technology, or electrical engineering
- Practical experience in software testing, quality assurance, or error analysis of complex technical systems
- Strong understanding of software, system, and integration relationships
- Experience with test and ticket management systems, ideally Jira
- Analytical and structured working style with proven systematic troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to document and present technical matters clearly, with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration
- Very good German and good English language skills
