Teamleiter Last Mile Logistik/ Quereinsteiger (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential logistics organization seeking a Last Mile Team Leader for their distribution hub in Frankfurt an der Oder, Brandenburg. This role is open to both experienced logistics professionals and career changers from hospitality, retail, or customer service backgrounds.

As Team Leader, you will:

• Lead and develop your team: Recruit, onboard, and coach drivers and hub staff to success while organizing team-building activities to strengthen collaboration.
• Manage daily operations: Oversee shift planning, staff development, and ensure smooth operational flow throughout the distribution center.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries: Take responsibility when trucks arrive with goods, verify shipments, and arrange quick resupply when needed to maintain inventory levels.
• Drive process excellence: Monitor operational KPIs continuously and ensure all activities follow safety-first protocols.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with customer success teams, central warehouses, and other hubs to deliver excellent service.
• Ensure on-time departures: Coordinate driver schedules to meet promised delivery windows to customers.
• Contribute strategic improvements: Share ideas on electric vehicle maintenance coordination, hub layout optimization, recruitment processes, and other initiatives that enhance logistics efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training or degree in logistics, OR proven success as a career changer from hospitality, retail, customer service, or similar fields
• Initial team leadership experience, either professionally or through coaching sports teams or other groups
• Fluent German and basic English communication skills
• Valid Class B driver's license
• Strong communication abilities and confident presence
• Data-driven decision-making approach using metrics and facts
