About the Role
This part-time optician position offers flexibility while providing meaningful work in eye care. You'll help customers discover the perfect eyewear solutions and work in a collaborative environment where your expertise directly impacts patient satisfaction. The role includes commission-based earnings, with opportunities to earn between $350 and $750 monthly in commission sales.
What You'll Do
- Measure and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses according to customer prescriptions and preferences
- Guide customers through lens options, frame styles, and special coatings to match their vision needs and lifestyle
- Verify finished eyewear for quality and accuracy before dispensing to patients
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care, maintenance, and usage
- Process eyewear orders and manage inventory as needed
- Support the optical team in delivering outstanding customer experiences
What We're Looking For
- Valid optician license or certification for the state of Missouri
- Proficiency in fitting and dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Strong knowledge of lens types, frame materials, and optical principles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work part-time hours that align with business needs
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in eyewear fitting
