Supplier Management Specialist/Product Management

Avnet is seeking a Supplier Management Specialist/Product Management professional based in Bangalore, Karnataka, to lead strategic supplier partnerships and drive business excellence. In this full-time role, you'll own the complete supplier lifecycle, from relationship strategy to performance delivery.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to lead our supplier management function and shape the strategic direction of our supplier partnerships. Reporting into our product and operations leadership, you'll direct supplier strategy across multiple product lines, ensuring we unlock competitive advantage through strong, collaborative supplier relationships. You'll leverage supplier capabilities and resources to achieve superior financial performance and operational outcomes whilst building enduring partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive supplier business plans aligned with organisational product and financial objectives
• Lead strategic relationship management and communication with key suppliers
• Direct supplier performance management, evaluation, and continuous improvement programmes
• Manage supplier negotiations covering contracts, pricing, service levels, and commercial terms
• Analyse supplier performance data and metrics to identify cost optimisation and efficiency opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet requirements
• Implement and oversee supplier risk management and compliance programmes

What You Bring

• Proven experience in supplier management, procurement, supply chain, or related functions
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Analytical skills with ability to interpret supplier performance data and metrics
• Product management experience or technical understanding of product environments (advantageous)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project and programme management experience
• Knowledge of supplier relationship management tools and performance scorecards
