Summer Camp Staff – seasonal (BDSR)

Join Boy Scouts of America Long's Peak Council as a Summer Camp Staff member at our Ben Delatour Scout Ranch location in Livermore, Larimer County, Colorado. We're recruiting talented instructors and support personnel to deliver an exceptional outdoor program for scouts during the upcoming summer season.

About the Role

This is a full-time, seasonal position offering a rewarding opportunity to inspire and mentor young scouts in an outdoor learning environment. Based near Fort Collins in Livermore, you'll lead hands-on instruction across multiple activity areas, emphasizing outdoor safety, skill development, and character building aligned with BSA values.

What You'll Do

• Teach outdoor skills, wilderness techniques, and backcountry safety
• Lead fishing and archery instruction with appropriate progression and supervision
• Facilitate mountain biking trips and trail-based education
• Deliver STEM and basic arts programming integrated with outdoor themes
• Mentor scouts, model leadership qualities, and maintain a positive, inclusive camp culture
• Manage equipment, support daily camp operations, and prioritize participant safety and well-being

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency or strong interest in one or more activity areas: archery, fishing, mountain biking, STEM, arts, or outdoor skills instruction
• Genuine enthusiasm for youth mentorship and outdoor education
• Strong communication and group leadership abilities
• Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
• Age 15 and up; willingness to learn and grow is essential
• For medical officer roles: valid EMT certification or higher medical credential
