About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobility services organization with operations across Europe. They are seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist for spare parts and technical components to join their team in Frankfurt. This role offers the opportunity to shape procurement strategy for a growing fleet operation while working with international suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for spare parts, technical components, and accessories across defined product categories
• Manage cost, quality, and delivery performance for assigned product groups
• Analyze national and international procurement markets and identify new suppliers and market trends
• Build and implement dual-sourcing strategies to minimize risk
• Conduct make-or-buy analyses and total cost of ownership evaluations
• Select, qualify, and develop national and international suppliers including OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and aftermarket providers
• Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers
• Conduct supplier audits and regular performance reviews
• Lead price, contract, and terms negotiations independently
• Negotiate delivery terms, payment conditions, service levels, and quality agreements
• Ensure economical and reliable spare parts supply for a Europe-wide fleet
• Develop strategies to minimize vehicle downtime
• Optimize inventory levels and stock ranges
• Drive digitalization and standardization of procurement processes
• Maintain and optimize material and supplier master data in ERP systems
• Create reports, analyses, and management presentations
• Lead and participate in cross-functional procurement projects

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement within the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of automotive aftermarket, spare parts, and technical components
• Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and aftermarket suppliers
• Proven experience in price and contract negotiations
• Experience conducting supplier audits and supplier evaluations
• Excellent knowledge of supplier and category management
• Practical experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Odoo, or comparable systems)
• Strong analytical thinking with structured and independent working style
• Fluent German and English skills (negotiation level)
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and audits

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the recreational vehicle, camper, or leisure vehicle sector
• Knowledge of the European workshop and spare parts market
• Experience with BI tools and data-driven procurement decisions
