Staff Software Engineer, Partner Engineering

About the Role

We are representing a confidential streaming media organization seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Partner Engineering based in London. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).

In this high-impact role, you will serve as the technical point of contact for our client's partner ecosystem, leading strategic integrations and optimizing deployment processes across multiple platforms. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and business development to deliver exceptional user experiences at global scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional technical projects involving Product, Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, and Marketing teams
• Drive strategic technical integrations with external partners, acting as the primary technical liaison
• Scale and optimize existing partner operations and deployment processes
• Define and commercialize new partner-facing solutions and workflows
• Build and iterate through the full product development cycle—prototyping, testing, and launching features
• Identify and bridge product gaps to enable seamless partner integration
• Develop backend services and APIs for partner integrations
• Solve complex technical challenges with scalable, forward-thinking solutions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 12+ years of experience building and deploying complex systems in collaboration with external partners
• Strong proficiency with modern web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML5, React, and WebSockets
• Deep understanding of Client/Server architectures and scalable system design
• Proven experience building backend services and APIs
• Ability to confidently engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Partner-facing experience across technical and business domains
• Experience integrating payment systems, metadata, and B2B APIs
• Platform development experience with Android TV or browser-based TV platforms
• Familiarity with embedded devices, OEMs, SoC providers, or pay TV operators
