Sr. Underwriter, Account Executive Officer

Travelers Insurance Company is hiring a Senior Underwriter and Account Executive Officer in Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. This is a full-time position where you'll take ownership of complex commercial insurance accounts, make critical underwriting decisions, and drive profitable growth for our property and casualty business.

In this senior account executive officer role, you'll evaluate risks, structure coverage, and manage relationships with brokers and agents across your portfolio. What You'll Do

• Underwrite commercial property and casualty policies; assess risk, financial viability, and compliance requirements before binding coverage
• Manage assigned accounts from inception through renewal, maintaining profitability and customer retention
• Collaborate with agents, brokers, and internal teams to structure coverage solutions that meet client needs and underwriting guidelines
• Review and approve policy limits, rates, and terms; make sound underwriting decisions within delegated authority
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and policy performance; recommend adjustments to stay competitive
• Ensure adherence to company underwriting standards, state regulations, and compliance protocols
• Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to team development and best practices

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance underwriting
• 5+ years of hands-on underwriting experience in commercial property and casualty insurance
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills; ability to evaluate complex risk and financial data
• Proven account management and relationship-building abilities
• Proficiency with underwriting systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Property and casualty insurance license or willingness to obtain (licensing support provided)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
