Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential interactive entertainment technology organization seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their advanced R&D team in London. In this role, you will:
- Develop and improve core generative models for graphics and video processing across applications including live video streaming and rendering systems
- Research and prototype new methods for graphics or video enhancement, and build data generation pipelines from generative models
- Collaborate with team members on drafting publications and patent submissions
- Participate in core R&D initiatives alongside cross-functional engineering teams
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of demonstrable research experience in industry or academia
- Strong background in TensorFlow or PyTorch, with at least 5 years developing advanced applications in image/video/graphics processing or computer vision
- Proficiency in Python and computer vision/graphics libraries
- At least 1 research publication in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, or similar)
- Solid background in neural network architectures, including experience formulating and testing advanced loss functions
- Experience designing task-specific convolutional, recurrent, transformer-based, or diffusion-based neural network architectures
- Experience training, validating, and evaluating deep neural network models on large datasets using Python libraries like HDF5
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional publications in top-tier conferences and journals (IEEE CVPR/ICCV/ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, etc.)
- Theoretical understanding of the graphics pipeline, including coordinate transformations, PBR materials, rasterization, lighting, and ray tracing
- Practical experience in image processing theory and methods
- Experience with 3D engines such as Unreal or Unity, particularly in dataset generation and extraction of G-buffers and motion vectors
