Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential smart home technology company in their search for a Senior Director of Product Management focused on AI-powered consumer experiences. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who can define how machine learning transforms connected home products from reactive tools into intelligent, proactive systems.

You'll serve as the organization's independent technical product leader for software intelligence, bridging complex AI architectures with intuitive consumer interfaces. This role requires both vision and execution: defining multi-year roadmaps for ambient intelligence, predictive analytics, and computer vision while directly managing a team of technical product managers.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic vision and 3-year roadmap for AI experiences across the entire smart home product portfolio
• Define "new-to-world" capabilities that shift connected home systems from reactive to proactive, leveraging predictive analytics and ambient intelligence
• Author high-quality strategic documents (PRFAQs, working-backwards narratives, operating plans) to align senior leadership on AI investments and technical direction
• Serve as technical thought leader on ecosystem orchestration—how cameras, sensors, panels, and cloud platforms work as a unified intelligent system
• Translate emerging AI/ML capabilities into immediate customer value, identifying white-space opportunities for disruptive experiences
• Define cross-organizational mechanisms to monitor model performance, usage telemetry, and behavioral data for continuous refinement
• Directly manage and mentor a team of technical product managers, fostering excellence in algorithmic rigor and customer-centricity
• Influence cross-functional teams spanning data science, ML platform engineering, UX design, and hardware product lines
• Create precise product requirements that ensure reliable, ethical paths from model training to production deployment

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 10+ years in product management, with 5+ years specifically shipping consumer-facing AI/ML features or intelligent IoT experiences at scale
• 3+ years directly managing and developing technical product professionals
• Proven ability to define long-term product frameworks and navigate ambiguity independently when technical baselines are undefined
• Track record managing products requiring daily coordination with AI data scientists, ML infrastructure engineers, and data privacy teams

Technical Requirements:

• Deep technical literacy in applying machine learning to consumer ecosystems—computer vision, edge-AI processing, natural language processing, or predictive behavioral modeling
• Strong understanding of how software intelligence interacts with physical hardware lifecycles, including wireless frameworks, cloud latency constraints, and local device processing
• Experience productizing complex data-driven platforms where algorithm training and data collection are critical components

Leadership & Communication:

• Exceptional ability to present complex data science and product concepts to non-technical executive audiences
• Proven track record securing organizational alignment through compelling written narratives and presentations
• Demonstrated success scaling team technical capacity and fostering cultures of excellence

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical field required
• MBA or equivalent business experience preferred
