What This Role Involves
As a Speech Language Pathologist in this full-time school-based position, you'll deliver evidence-based intervention and assessment services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Working 30 hours per week throughout the full school year, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to help students achieve their communication goals and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs
- Provide direct speech-language pathology services to students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate communication strategies into daily instruction
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment approaches based on outcomes
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and progress records
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and home strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current California Speech-Language Pathology license or credential
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working with school-age populations preferred
