Position Summary

Epic Special Education Staffing is building a team of compassionate professionals committed to student mental health and academic achievement. As a School Psychologist, you'll deliver comprehensive psychological services to students, families, and school staff. Your work will directly impact how students develop emotionally, manage social challenges, and succeed academically within a supportive learning environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, social, and academic functioning
  • Develop individualized intervention and treatment plans based on assessment findings and student needs
  • Provide direct counseling and mental health support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to implement evidence-based strategies in classroom and school settings
  • Consult with families to share assessment results, discuss student progress, and support home-based interventions
  • Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings to ensure psychological perspectives inform educational planning
  • Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts when students face acute emotional or behavioral needs
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to ensure compliance with district and state regulations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in School Psychology or closely related field
  • Current licensure as a School Psychologist or Educational Psychologist in Michigan, or eligibility for immediate licensure
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and interpreting assessment data
  • Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and 504 plan requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and school teams
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners and culturally responsive practice
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment
