About the Role
As a School Psychologist, you'll serve as a vital support system for students, families, and educators. You'll conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments, identify students' learning and behavioral needs, and collaborate with school teams to develop intervention plans that drive student success. Your work will bridge mental health support and academic achievement in a school environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough assessments of students' cognitive, emotional, social, and academic functioning
- Diagnose learning disabilities, behavioral concerns, and mental health issues affecting academic performance
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies in partnership with teachers and families
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Consult with school staff on classroom management, student behavior, and evidence-based instructional practices
- Monitor student progress and adjust support plans based on ongoing evaluation
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with state and federal special education regulations
What We're Looking For
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure required for the state(s) in which you'll practice
- Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
- Strong knowledge of assessment instruments, special education law, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentation
- Compassion, patience, and genuine commitment to supporting student growth
