Special Projects Producer

Tribune Broadcasting Kansas City is hiring a Full-Time Special Projects Producer at WDAF-TV FOX 4 in Holts Summit, Callaway County. This is a hands-on production role where you'll create and manage enterprise-level content, from original programming and streaming offerings to broadcast specials and live events.

About the Role

The Special Projects Producer serves as a central figure within the newsroom, working across news, streaming, digital, and production departments to bring complex projects to life. You'll take ownership of high-impact content initiatives, manage timelines, and ensure quality delivery across multiple platforms and audiences.

What You'll Do

• Produce original enterprise content and streaming programs for WDAF-TV FOX 4
• Develop and manage broadcast specials and live event coverage
• Coordinate content strategy and execution with news, streaming, digital, and production teams
• Oversee daily streaming content operations and editorial standards
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and develop newsworthy projects

What We're Looking For

• Television or broadcast media production experience
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience managing cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with streaming platforms and digital content distribution
• Editorial judgment and news judgment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced newsroom environment
