Deli/Bakery Team Supervisor

About the Role

As the Deli/Bakery Team Supervisor in Ardmore, you'll take ownership of day-to-day operations across the deli and bakery department, keeping product quality high, customers satisfied, and your team running smoothly. This is a hands-on supervisory role with competitive hourly pay ranging from $19 to $32 per hour, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives and shift or facility premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour depending on applicable circumstances.

What You'll Do

• Direct and coach deli and bakery associates on daily tasks, food preparation standards, and safe equipment operation
• Monitor product freshness, rotation schedules, and case presentation to meet Walmart merchandising standards
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements throughout the department
• Operate and oversee the use of slicers, ovens, scales, and other department equipment
• Assist with inventory counts, product ordering, and stocking to prevent out-of-stocks
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to customers at the counter and throughout the department
• Open and close the department, completing checklists and communicating issues to store management
• Support scheduling, task delegation, and real-time problem-solving on the floor

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a deli, bakery, food service, or grocery environment — supervisory experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced retail setting
• Working knowledge of food safety regulations and safe food-handling practices
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable demeanor
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperature zones
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
